The Role:

Oxfam is looking for a Head of Private Sector Partnerships to provide strategic direction and leadership in line with Oxfam’s feminist principles and values. The successful candidate will lead the Private Sector Partnerships Team, managing members and working with them to build and maintain strong, multi-year partnerships with companies in support of Oxfam’s mission. The position is responsible for fulfilling existing partner expectations and ensuring new business leads that deliver significant income, impact, and in-kind value for Oxfam.

The ideal candidate for the role will also be:

  • A self-aware leader who makes a positive impact on others, able to nurture and grow a values-led and diverse team, ensuring that every individual plays a role in delivering Oxfam’s strategy, vision and cultural aspirations.
  • Able to build out measurable objectives for the team to help deliver ambitious targets for new and existing partnerships in line with Oxfam’s new strategy, motivating and enabling them to deliver on their goals.
  • Playing a key role in contributing to the leadership and direction of Private Sector Management Team, the development and implementation of the Private Sector’s new strategy as well as representing the team in the global Private Sector forums to ensure coherence on Oxfam’s wider offer. Key to this will be maintaining a close working relationship with colleagues in Oxfam’s Business Advisory Service.
  • Able to quickly develop an in-depth understanding of Oxfam’s strategic priorities on valuing women’s work, climate justice and on rights, resilience, and response, and play a key role in building out compelling and fundable propositions aligned to wider sustainable business and corporate social responsibility agendas.
  • A confident communicator and relationship builder, able to represent Oxfam at external events, conferences, and senior-level meetings in order to build profile and credibility amongst the private sector.
