Social Development International SDI is a non-profit NGO established in 2015 and daily registered in Turkey, which provides humanitarian assistance to affected people in Syria. SDI services are covering northern Syria areas through its programs which are SNFIs, health, nutrition, education, WASH, protection, FSL, and CCCM. Currently looking for an IT Officer.

Job Title: IT Officer

Location: Istanbul – Turkey

Job Purpose:

The IT Officer will be the primary point of contact for staff with issues related to our IT systems and applications. They will troubleshoot problems, document, and track user requests, and ensure satisfaction through proactive communication and timely follow-up.

Main responsibilities and tasks:

• Provide support in all areas of the Network, software installation, and support.
• Manage and maintain workstations (format, set up domain user, software installation, etc…)
• Maintain, set up, and configure printers, wireless access points, switches, routers, and all other IT-related devices.
• Perform Windows system, software, and anti-virus installation, configuration, and regular updates.
• Set up new computers & laptops.
• Managing and monitoring regular maintenance of communication electronic devices and IT equipment.
• Manage and track IT inventory.
• Advise technically approve IT purchases.
• Set up remote access software to support staff with IT-related issues in all SDI offices.
• Maintain and enhance of restricted user environment (Network policy based).
• Document, track, and follow all IT issues (cyber security issues, incidents, breakdowns, equipment changes, and data security….)
• Support organizational-wide priorities by ensuring optimal support and timely resolution of incidents
• Troubleshoot, Track, and follow all incidents to the conclusion.
• Perform all IT administration-related tasks, as assigned, and report any other IT-related issues.
• Ensure compliance with the IT and cyber security policies and processes.

Minimum Education, Qualifications & Experience Required:

• University degree in Information Technology or other related fields.
• Two years experience in the IT field.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft programs.
• Advanced level in English.
• Arabic language required.

Thus, SDI has a moral responsibility and a duty to protect children within the population that we serve from both intentional and unintentional harm. SDI understands that all staff needs to be aware of this policy even though many of the staff may never have unaccompanied contact with children or young people through their work. It is not possible to eliminate risk entirely, but we are obliged to develop strategies and mechanisms to reduce the risk.

Thus, SDI considers such actions as serious misconduct, which will constitute grounds for major measures, including summary dismissal and criminal prosecution. SDI prohibits sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA), and proved cases of such will be meet with Zero tolerance by SDI management.

To the end of meeting with the fundamental values of SDI, this policy is designed to address the behavior of SDI staff, and its collaborators toward the served population and to protect vulnerable populations within the communities served by SDI from any acts of sexual exploitation and abuse which is considered as an element of the accountability that SDI holds towards the served communities.

To the end of meeting with the fundamental values of SDI, this policy is designed to address the behavior of SDI staff and its collaborators towards one another and to protect staff within the environment of SDI from any acts of sexual harassment and harassment which is considered as an element of the accountability that SDI holds towards its staff.
