General Description of the Programme:

SENED is an independent, non-governmental, non-profit organization licensed and registered in Türkiye with the number 27-15-175. SENED Organization was established shortly after the Syrian Nakba and in response to the suffering of millions of Syrian refugees in Turkey as well as internally displaced people in Syria, to alleviate suffering, achieving justice, equality, and freedom, strengthening the role of civil society, and supporting and developing the local community. SENED works in the humanitarian work sectors to support, empower, and educate the community through several programs, takes exceptional care of people with disabilities and their families and defends their issues.

SENED Association emphasizes creating safe, accessible, and participation-encouraging living conditions for individuals’ emotional, intellectual, physical, and social development by focusing on people with disabilities. Beyond the medical perspective on disability, it tries to find solutions to the problems faced by disabled people with a holistic perspective by considering the disabled people, their families, and the society they live in, focusing on the conditions they experience. SENED Association aims to create a safe and supportive environment and space by conducting family-oriented activities to help disabled individuals and their families become stronger, discover their potential and stand by with their children. By collecting data on refugee-disabled people and identifying problems and needs, SENED strives to ensure harmony between disabled refugees and local people with a voluntary, professional team and a community-based approach. All activities, education, research, advocacy, etc., are carried out on platforms created by local and disabled refugee people.

Job purpose:

The Project Officer is responsible for the daily planning, implementation, supervision, monitoring, and reporting of livelihoods and capacity-building activities. The incumbent will ensure proper coordination with the team in the field and is responsible for registering and monitoring local partners. The Project Officer will conduct initial risk analyses and assess suitability based on selection criteria. Additionally, the role involves providing support to partner projects and reporting outcomes to the Project Manager.

Duties, objectives, and competencies:

• Develop daily work plans for livelihoods and capacity-building activities.
• Ensure timely and effective implementation of project activities.
• Monitor progress against project plans and schedules.
• Report regularly to the Senior Project Officer and Project Manager on project progress.
• Facilitate communication between the field team and the central office.
• Monitor and support partner projects, ensuring they align with project goals.
• Provide technical support and capacity-building assistance to local partners.
• Facilitate and organize training sessions and workshops as needed.
• Collect and analyze data on project outcomes.
• Collaborate with supporting departments.
• Participate in project activities, including needs assessment, meetings, training, workshops, and events.
• Ensure the quality of project database and prevent duplications.
• Perform any other duties as assigned.

Requirements: Essential

• Must have bachelor degree (e.g., Development Studies, Social Sciences, Project Management)., with one year of relevant professional experience
• Experience in FSL and Cash project or protection management and implementation.
• Knowledge and experience in emergency response and cash-based approaches or programming.
• Proficiency in report writing and data analysis.
• Familiarity with relevant international standards.
• Experience conducting market mapping or assessments.
• Previous working experience in the region is advantageous.
• Advanced IT skills (Google Docs, Gmail, Excel, and Word).
• Strong organizational and administrative skills.
• Fluency in Turkish and English are required. Arabic is advantages.
• Verified experience in humanitarian work and principles.

Requirements (desired)

• Familiarity with local context and stakeholders is an advantage.
• Preferably has a driving license.
• Flexibility to work outside regular office hours when necessary.

Technical Competencies:

• Detail-oriented and capable of managing
• Multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software.
