You should select the most relevant materials for your exam area of the UN YPP. The 2022-2023 edition of the UN YPP included two exam areas: Legal Affairs and Library & Information Management. You should check not only the publications available through the UN-iLibrary website, but also guides, roadmaps to the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and any pertinent internal UN document that may relate to one of these exam areas. Since questions in the Written Exam can cover current world issues, you have to keep yourself updated on what is going on in the world. To accomplish that, we advise you to follow different international news platforms including the United Nations’ UN News.
Having a broad knowledge of what is going on in the world today is essential for a UN staff member, given that this is a multicultural organization that actively takes part in some of these matters. Pay special attention to news relevant to the exam area you have chosen and remember to keep a close eye on the website of UN Offices and departments related to that same area.
