Overview of position

Under the overall supervision of the DTM & Research Unit Coordinator in Niger the Data Analysis & Visualization Assistant will be responsible to provide in depth analysis, data visualization & produce reports by performing the following duties as mentioned in this TOR.

Role Objectives

• Ensuring the data cleaning & preparation.
• Conducting in depth data analysis using the collected data by our client & secondary data.
• Preparing summary statistical reports.
• Preparing data visualizations & graphics for reporting.
• Developing & maintaining automated dashboards.
• Generating reminders for DTM field team on data sending.
• Drafting scripts & program to collect & organize online data.
• Supporting other DTM & research activities in data collection & program implementation as needed.
• Supporting delivery of DTM & research trainings to colleagues.
• Supporting the revision of DTM & research data collection questionnaires.
• Generating recommendations on new data & research initiatives.
• Developing feedback survey to understand partners needs on data & analysis.
• Performing other such duties as may be assigned.

Project Reporting

• This role will work under the overall supervision of the DTM & Research Unit Coordinator in Niger.

Key Competencies

• Bachelor’s / undergraduate degree in engineering, data sciences, computer sciences, economics, finance, business administration or other related subjects from an accredited institution with previous experience in an international, humanitarian / development organization & / or in capacity building initiatives is an advantage.
• Ability to work effectively & harmoniously with colleagues from varied cultures & professional backgrounds & respect for diversity & gender equality.
• Strong computer skills especially in MS Excel, Word & Outlook.
• Ability to pay close attention to details & work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to work under pressure & meet deadlines.
• Ability to work effectively & harmoniously with a team of colleagues.
• Good in time management & planning for accounting cycles.
• Able to set up internal record tracking.
• Ability to use Tableau or Python or other programming language is an advantage.
• Fluency in French (oral & written) & good in English (oral & written) is an asset.
