Overview of Position

The recruitment of 9 Drivers for GREPOC project is essential to ensure efficient transportation & distribution of materials until the end of September 2024. With 3 office vehicles & 2 trucks, currently being purchased, we require skilled Drivers to operate these vehicles safely & effectively. Additionally, we have 1 truck & 3 tricycles in our current fleet that will also need Drivers for transportation purposes. By allocating Drivers to these vehicles, we can ensure timely delivery of distribution materials to the field, facilitating the smooth implementation of the project.

Role Objectives

  • Timely & safely delivery of cargo & transportation of passengers within Sofala province based on project’s requirements & schedule.
  • Keeping accurate records of mileage, hours of service & deliveries.
  • Filling out the logbook to record all movements, refuelling, maintenance & repairs.

Project Reporting

  • This role reports to the Supply Chain Officer.

Key Competencies

  • High school certificate with at least 3 years of experience in driving soft skin vehicle for movement of cargos & passengers.
  • Experience in driving vehicles on dirty roads is desired.
  • Prior experience in Sofala province & preferably in Beira city.
  • Must be fluent in Portuguese &working knowledge of any local language & English is desired.
  • Holding a valid & official Mozambican driving license.
  • Good communication, interpersonal & organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated gender awareness & gender sensitivity.
  • Ability to work effectively & harmoniously with colleagues from varied cultures & professional backgrounds.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Personal commitment, efficiency, flexibility & drive for results.
