The International Rescue Committee (IRC) responds to the world’s worst humanitarian crises, helping to restore health, safety, education, economic wellbeing, and power to people devastated by conflict and disaster. Founded in 1933 at the call of Albert Einstein, the IRC is one of the world’s largest international humanitarian non-governmental organizations (INGO), at work in more than 40 countries and more than 25 U.S. cities helping people to survive, reclaim control of their future and strengthen their communities. A force for humanity, IRC employees delivers lasting impact by restoring safety, dignity and hope to millions. If you’re a solutions-driven, passionate change-maker, come join us in positively impacting the lives of millions of people world-wide for a better future.

This role reports into the IRC’s Executive Director of the Movement Against Malnutrition. The Movement Against Malnutrition is a new, highly ambitious effort to ensure all children with acute malnutrition receive life-saving treatment, transforming a broken humanitarian system into a successful one and saving the lives of up to 2 million children a year. IRC has led ground-breaking work on malnutrition for years, and this initiative builds upon all the successful efforts to date by IRC staff and partners. IRC’s successful track record on child malnutrition includes the design and testing of a radically simpler, scalable treatment protocol for all forms of acute malnutrition; annual treatment of over 400,000 children with acute malnutrition in 17 countries; and courageous advocacy to change the current humanitarian system to better meet the needs of children.
