Get insights into USAID contracts for anyone new to the process, whether you’re a partner or an NGO.
Learners who are new to USAID contracts (as a partner or as an NGO), will find that this training stimulates critical thinking about, and effective decision-making for, USAID contract management implementation. This includes how to decide whether to bid on contracts, how to conduct a thorough review of the Request for Proposal (RFP), and where their NGO may be at risk. Learners will also get tools to effectively administer USAID contracts, and contracts issued by other US Federal agencies.
What will you learn
By the end of this training, learners will be able to:
- Articulate the differences between US Government Assistance and Acquisition funding
- Distinguish between the various types of contracts
- Manage relationships with USAID and/or other funders
- Work within contract terms and conditions, such as approvals, source/nationality, audit, and subcontracting
- Administer key contract terms and conditions, such as approvals, source/nationality, audit, and subcontracting
- Practice close-out planning from field and home office perspectives
- Utilize reference tools for understanding the day-to-day management of contracts
