Mission :
Under the supervision of the Deputy Country Director for Programs, you will ensure the development and implementation of Afghanistan’s Nutrition and Health strategy and coordinate/provide technical support for the implementation of high-quality nutrition and health programs.
More specifically, you will be responsible for the following missions:
Design, develop, and evaluate the strategy and actions in the field of Nutrition and Health.
Monitor and coordinate nutrition and health programs.
Supervise or conduct nutrition rapid assessments and/or nutritional surveys (in the absence of the Head of Department for Surveillance).
Control, validate, and monitor the resources used by the programs, draft requests, and undertake quality control; particular attention should be paid to pharmacy management, in collaboration with the mission pharmacist and the Nutrition and Health Program Managers.
Manage the Nutrition and Health team in the country office and serve as technical support for the Nutrition and Health Program Managers.
Oversee overall planning and distribution of work, as well as develop individual action plans for the Nutrition and Health team in the country office.
Collaborate with governmental and local agencies to develop and launch programs.
Represent Action Against Hunger and advocate for its position in the nutrition and health sector.
Profile :
You’re a doctor or hold a degree in Nursing, Midwifery, with a specialisation in Nutrition or Public Health, combined with substantial international experience. You have at least 5 years of experience in a similar position with INGOs, and previous experience with Action Against Hunger is considered an asset.
You have demonstrated success in proposal development, and prior experience as a Health and Nutrition Coordinator is a strong advantage.
You possess advanced knowledge of donor guidelines and procedures, including those of ECHO, BMGF, GFFO, and UNICEF.
You have a proven ability to manage and mentor a diverse team, fostering an inclusive and collaborative work environment.
Your drafting and writing skills are excellent, and you are fluent in both written and spoken English.
Conditions d’emploi
12-month fixed-term contract under French or Afghan labor law.
For internationals candidatesMonthly gross salary from 2597 to 2968euros upon experience including 13th month
Reimbursement of the pension insurance for non-French citizens: 16% of the gross monthly salary
Annual salary increase: 6% increase after and each 12 months of continuous contract
Monthly per diem and living allowance: 645 euros net, field paid
Monthly country allowance: 450euros
Child allowance: 1500euros per year per child present in the country of origin (maximum 6000euros/year)
Transportation and accommodation: Coverage of transportation costs and guest house
ACF covers 100% of the social security, health insurance, and repatriation insurance.
For nationales candidates:177800afn/month basic salary
2000afn/month Medical allowance
one month salary per year as an end of service benefits
1570afn/month as transportation allowance
