Main duties: Under the supervision of the Accounting, Budget and Treasury Coordinator: – Organize and supervise accounting and treasury operations and reporting by cooperatives/initiatives/entities under the responsibility of the incumbent (Union, Postal Technology Centre, EMS, voluntary fund for technical cooperation, translation services) 1. QUALIFICATION AND SKILLS REQUIRED | |||
Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in accounting, financial management, auditing or economics |

Experience: Five years of proven experience of general accounting in an international environment. |

Technical knowledge: 1. Very good knowledge of accounting software. 2. Very good knowledge of the UPU Financial Regulations (accounting rules, financial manual, etc.). 3. Sound knowledge of accounting rules and standards applicable to international organizations (UNSAS and IPSAS) 4. Proficiency in Excel. 5. Knowledge of UPU activities (language groups, EMS, Postal Technology Centre, etc.) 6. Knowledge of other programs such as Word, Outlook and PowerPoint |

Skills and abilities / competencies: 1. A head for figures. 2. Attention to detail. 3. Ability to organize and plan work. 4. Leadership and team management. 5. Aptitude for written and oral communication (presentation of reports, etc.). 6. Ability to propose new working methods. |

Language skills: Proficiency in English or French. Working knowledge of the other language would be an asset. |

Additional Information: French is the official language of the UPU. Post adjustment: 90 % of the above figure(s). This percentage is to be considered as indicative since variations may occur each month either upwards or downwards due to currency exchange rate fluctuations or inflation. |
