We are currently seeking an Associate to be based out of Los Angeles. Miyamoto International is among the nation’s fastest growing structural engineering companies. With 30 locations across the globe, our team members adapt to new challenges that reflect the diverse needs of the domestic and international communities we serve.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree with emphasis on structural Engineering, Master’s preferred
  • 10 years of experience in a comparable structural engineering company performing design of buildings and structures
  • Client and project management experience on structural engineering projects from concept design through construction administration as lead engineer on projects with teams of 2 or more engineers and designers–projects must include commercial, residential, education, and healthcare with aviation projects, desired
  • In depth experience with design of vertical structures of commonly used materials such as concrete, steel, masonry, and wood as project manager/project lead for engineering projects.
  • OSHPD and DSA experienced; ASCE 41, or performance-based design, desired
  • Proficiency in writing and oral presentations as well as possess excellent communication skills
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • PE license required; CA SE license desired as well as licensed in other states including AZ, TX, PR, and NV

The salary range for this position is $90k-$120k per year. Salary offers are determined using a variety of factors, including but not limited to: years of experience, education, depth of knowledge, geographic location, and equity with internal staff.
