Introduction:
Blumont is seeking to identify and collaborate with civic engagement technical experts for future work in Iraq. Blumont is a global organization working with communities around the world to help people overcome challenges and create a foundation for progress. Blumont’s work builds on success over the last 20 years in more than 40 countries, and includes extensive experience supporting local governance and civic engagement amid conflict and other challenges.
Blumont is seeking Arabic-speaking technical experts in Iraq with experience in the following technical areas:
- Civic literacy
- Civic education
- Countering misinformation and disinformation
- Participatory planning
- Public policy advocacy
- Civic engagement
Qualifications and Skills:
- Experience living and/or working in Iraq required
- Must have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in at least some of the programming areas listed above
- University/College or equivalent level degree in a relevant field of expertise.
- Available for either short-term or long-term assignments, depending on proposal and program requirements
- Activity management skills are desirable
- Passion for strategic analysis, problem solving, consensus building, networking, organizational improvement, creative thinking, and an ability to manage change
- Strong negotiation and presentation skills and ability to build strong relationships with host governments’ institutions, local and international NGOs, and donors
- Fluency in Arabic and English is required.
