The Coalition to Counter Online Antisemitism (CCOA) is offering four microgrants of 5,000 EUR each for innovative projects aimed at combatting online antisemitism and proposing future coalition activities. These grants aim to empower CCOA members to address online hate speech, discrimination, and misinformation targeting Jewish communities.

Objectives:

  1. Develop and implement projects countering online antisemitism.
  2. Promote collaboration, creativity, and diversity across sectors.

Potential projects include educational campaigns, tools for monitoring online hate speech, and advocacy initiatives targeting policymakers or platforms. The microgrants do not cover equipment purchases.

Submission Guidelines:

  • Applicants must submit a 3-page concept note by August 15th, detailing project objectives, target audience, methodology, outputs, impact, and a budget overview.
  • Proposals should highlight the project’s innovation, objectives, activities, deliverables, expected impact, and timeline (starting October/November, and running for 3-4 months).
  • Only registered charitable non-profits with a track record in online hate speech projects, especially antisemitism, are eligible.

Evaluation Criteria:

  • Impact on tackling antisemitism and advancing research.
  • Innovation and creativity in addressing online antisemitism.
  • Reach and scalability of the project.
  • Feasibility and realistic execution plan.
  • Positive impact on Jewish communities and collaboration with partners.
  • Detailed budget not exceeding 5,000 EUR.

  • Summary of past projects on online hate speech.
  • Budget overview.
  • CVs of team members.

Key Dates:

  • Proposal submission by August 15, 2024.
  • Proposal evaluation: August to September 2024.
  • Grant award: October 2024.
