Salary range: 3,800- 4,500 USD/month at full time

The role

The Communications Coordinator will primarily be responsible for implementing CLEAR Global’s communications strategy and overseeing CLEAR Global’s content production, distribution and reach, which enables us to advocate for our mission and our innovative programs, global research, language technology, and language service platforms for NGOs and other organizations. In addition, this person will be the media focal point for the organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop the communications plans, ensuring that they are in line with CLEAR Global’s organizational aims and strategy.
  • Set the tone for CLEAR Global’s communications, ensuring that all of our content is consistent and reflects our mission and values
  • Regularly report on the performance of CLEAR Global’s content
  • Produce the Annual Report
  • Support management of communications outputs across teams for internal and external communications, meeting strategic goals, expectations, and timing
  • Ensure internal communications plans are implemented to engage the wider team as advocates for the brand and messages we deliver
  • Support and deliver on CLEAR Global’s inbound marketing and content strategies
  • Drive the development of CLEAR Global’s multilingual communications and content, including the website and social media
  • Support integration of HubSpot tools and processes, and identify opportunities to make our work more efficient and effective
  • Work closely with the strategic partnerships and fundraising teams, actively contributing communications strategies and ideas to make fundraising and advocacy campaigns successful
  • Lead on and develop media relations
  • Manage the communications team
  • Help ensure good user experiences, journeys, and engagement with target audiences
  • Contribute to a positive, innovative and supportive work environment.
  • Perform other initiatives as assigned

Qualifications and requirements

CLEAR Global is seeking an energetic and proactive team player to contribute to our advocacy and business development. The Communications Coordinator should be enthusiastic about the importance of increasing access to knowledge through language. The right candidate enjoys working independently and implementing new ideas. This person should agree with CLEAR Global’s basic beliefs and values and be able to work virtually with team members based throughout the world.

  • 5 years of experience in a communications role, preferably in a non-profit organization
  • Graduate, preferably with a degree in international development, communications, marketing or other relevant field
  • Demonstrated interest in language and social good
  • A track record of developing strategies, content, websites, and marketing and a clear aptitude and enthusiasm to learn more
  • Experience managing teams
  • Excellent English writing and research abilities; writing sample required
  • Strong organizational skills, with a passion for process
  • Strong computer skills, including spreadsheets, ideally with experience of CMS platforms (especially WordPress), HubSpot and social media marketing tools
  • Resourceful, innovative, and able to self direct
  • Strong interpersonal skills and attention to detail
  • Unimpeachable ethical standards and personal integrity
  • Knowledge of French and of non-European languages a plus
