In India, Jhpiego works across various states in close collaboration with national and state governments, providing technical assistance in the areas of family planning, maternal and child health, strengthening human resources for health, and non-communicable diseases. Jhpiego seeks a Data Analyst based in New Delhi, to provide technical insights and strategic direction primarily for Monitoring, Evaluation, Research and Learning Activities to capture project performance results and provide effective, accurate and timely monitoring, evaluation and reporting of all Maternal and Child Health domain. This position reports to the MNH lead.
Responsibilities
Monitoring and Evaluation:
- Ensure data management process, including collection, storage, analysis, and reporting in MNCH projects.
- Ensuring timely data collection and reporting to
- Coordinating monitoring and evaluation efforts and documenting
Research and Learning:
- Working with program team in developing scientific manuscripts, abstracts, and data presentations for national and international conferences.
- Documenting key findings and lessons learned for advocacy
- Develop statistical modelling and apply advanced analytical frameworks for datasets generated in the implementation initiatives
Coordination with team:
- Supporting data teams in the field on data related aspects of the program.
- Reviewing and providing data related inputs in program reports prior to submission to stakeholders and
- Facilitating sharing of project information and performance reports with field
Collaboration and training:
- Collaborating with the program and research team to ensure alignment with program goals and objectives, adhering to India’s state and national health guidelines.
- Closely work with program team for developing the analysis plan as per the program requirement.
- Providing technical support and training of the team members on data related aspects.
- Work closely with the research team on project requirements and deliverables.
Required Qualifications
- Post-graduate in statistics, epidemiology, bio-statistics or Data Science or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in compiling and analyzing Public Health Data at State/National level.
- Working experience of Advance Excel with Macro Programming and statistical software’s is must.
- Working experience in development of Data Management Tools for Public Health Data is desirable.
- Working experience with government data portals (HMIS, AB-HWC portal, IHIP, NIKSHAY etc.) is desirable.
