With operations across six core countries in Africa, we make farmers more prosperous by providing quality farm supplies on credit, delivered within walking distance of farmers’ homes, and agricultural training to improve harvests. About the Role
The Office of the CEO (OOCEO) reflects the voice of and executes on behalf of One Acre Fund’s CEO, and ensures that their priorities are embedded at all levels of the organization.
We are looking to expand the Office and further support our incoming CEO Eric Pohlman by hiring an Executive Assistant. You will join the Office of the CEO team, and will report to a Manager in the Office of the CEO with frequent CEO contact.
Responsibilities
- Time and Task Management: Organize the CEO’s schedule and tasks, making sure everything happens on time and following up on important things to keep everything running smoothly.
- Calendar Management: Organize the CEO’s calendar, scheduling appointments and meetings wisely to make the most of the CEO’s time.
- Meeting Management: Capably set up and run meetings, ensuring everything is well-planned, and taking notes to capture important information when the executive team meets. Compile a list of actionable items derived, identify follow-up tasks, and summarize important takeaways from the meeting discussions, highlighting crucial insights and decisions.
- Project Implementation Support: You will support other OOCEO team members in implementing a range of projects.

Qualifications
Across all roles, these are the general qualifications we look for. For this role specifically, you will have:
- 3 – 5 years of work experience as an executive assistant or in a similar role supporting top-level executives in a multicultural and complex organization.
- An interest and keenness to understand how the business works.
- Experience realigning the executive when they get distracted from their top priorities.
- Experience addressing potential issues, with partners of varying seniority.
