About Us
The International Institute for Environment and Development (IIED) is a policy and action research organisation promoting sustainable development and linking local priorities to global challenges. We are based in London and work across five continents with some of the world’s most vulnerable people to strengthen their voices in the decision-making arenas that affect them. With more than 150 members of staff working with associates and partners around the world, IIED has been at the forefront of evidence-based policymaking in sustainable development for over 50 years.
Reversing Environmental Degradation in Africa and Asia (REDAA) is a £35m granting programme which aims to catalyse research, innovation and action in Africa and Asia to help people and nature thrive together.
Green Economy Coalition (GEC) is a network of organisations working to create structural reform to secure green and fair economies. We have established nine green economy hubs to build support for and influence reform in Brazil, India, Mongolia, Peru, Senegal, South Africa, Uganda, the UK and the Caribbean region.
Generating Ambition for Locally Led Adaptation (LLA) is a EUR15m partnership between the government of Netherlands, IIED and eight implementing partners across five years. It supports the implementation of the LLA strategy to deliver real and sustained change, protecting the people and places threatened by the interconnected climate, nature and inequality crises.
