Who we are?
IDA is an international independent non-governmental organization providing medical and humanitarian assistance to people affected by conflicts, natural disasters and epidemics regardless of race, religion, gender or political affiliation.
IDA was founded in 2012 by Syrian doctors from Aleppo in response to the healthcare and humanitarian crisis in Syria.
IDA Syria is the main healthcare provider in the Northern Aleppo/Syria area, working closely with 500,000 IDPs and 700,000 host community through 20 healthcare facility and other health and nutrition projects
During last year, IDA has provided 1.2 million services in Heath, Nutrition, WaSH and Camp Management

Position Overview:
The Grants and Partnerships Officer will support the day-to-day activities of the Grants Department, relating to information management for grants, reporting, and gathering due diligence requirements for donors. The role will provide important support for the Senior Grants and Partnerships Manager (SGPM) to achieve objectives in terms of partnerships, through coordinating and developing donor relationships with international and local NGOs and other funders. The Grants and Partnerships Officer will work closely with the Grants and Partnerships team, and be accountable to the Head of Programs who is the overall unit manager.
Location: IDA Headquarters, Gaziantep, Türkiye.

This position is an intern/entry level position

Key responsibilities:
Partnerships:
-
Undertake donor mapping of the current funding landscape for NW Syria and Southern Türkiye
-
Work with the SGPM to identify potential partners with good alignment to IDAs priorities, and to establish good relationships with these potential partners

Attend external meetings as relevant for the role, for example for networking and information gathering
-
Assist the SGPM to develop a partnership health check/survey and with support, ensure that this is completed for current partners
-
Lead the monitoring and tracking of due diligence requirements for all new projects and ensure requirements are met pre award and during the reporting process

Ensure all documentation relating to Partnerships, including meeting notes and contacts for potential, new, and existing partners is kept up to date and filed.
Grants:

Assist Grants Managers to develop donors reporting templates and trackers as required

Assist Grants Managers in the revisions and modifications of projects and budgets along with their supportive documents

Assist in the agreement signature process, especially in revising the agreement and the budget and making sure it complies with the agreed copies

Maintain an up to date filing system including hard and soft files, for all current grants at pre and post award stage

Support the Partnerships and Grants Department to organize meetings with other departments within the organization, and with external organizations and donors as required

Other duties as needed.
Qualifications:
Generic professional competencies for this position:
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Development Studies, International Relations, or a relevant area
- Preferably 1 to 2 years work experience for an NGO or civil society organization in relief or development programs
- A confident self-starter with good initiative
- A desire to forge a career in humanitarian or international development work
- An interest in the health sector
- An interest in and understanding of the Syrian context
- Excellent writing, reading, and verbal communication skills in English
- Able to work to deadlines
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Power point
- Good interpersonal skills and cultural awareness.
Context/Specific skills, knowledge and experience:
- Knowledge of the context in North-West of Syria
- Good standing and reputation in the community
- Experience in working with local partners;
- Experience in conducting assessments and monitoring activities;
