Your tasks:
- Head of the Advisory Technical Services and Programme Quality Unit of the International Programmes Division
- Goal-oriented, motivating and value-based management and development of employees
- Working with the M&E Coordinator to develop a monitoring framework for the qualitative implementation of the division’s strategy
- Ensuring technical expertise throughout the entire project management cycle
- Systematic utilisation of thematic technical and M&E expertise at project level (project management cycle) and portfolio planning level and creation of a learning framework
- Establishing the systematic use of the AOGD system and programme models, including systematic learning and best practices
- Establishment of programmatic and M&E-specific minimum standards with corresponding capacity and competence building
- Capacity building and utilisation of PMERL, including data evaluation to draw conclusions about programme quality
- Developing concepts for impact-orientated project development in line with the goals and priorities of Plan International (youth-led, locally led – globally connect, improved sustainability, gender-transformative)
- Influencing and helping to shape Plan International’s international cooperation through collaboration, advocacy and representation in relevant committees (e.g. AOGD networks, M&E working groups)
- Participation in the management team of the International Programmes Division
Your profile:
- Successfully completed university degree in a development-related subject
- At least seven years of practical professional experience in the field of development cooperation and/or humanitarian aid, transitional aid and disaster preparedness in Germany and abroad
- At least two years of technical and disciplinary management experience
- Very good written and spoken English; knowledge of German, French and/or Spanish is an advantage
- Thematic experience in the thematic areas relevant to Plan (Child Protection, Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights, Youth Employment and
- entrepreneurship, participation) as well as in the areas of gender equality and accountability towards affected people)
- Knowledge of international humanitarian standards and project quality standards
- Knowledge and skills in research methodology and data collection for baseline and evaluation.
- Project reporting, knowledge management and learning process.
- Knowledge of and experience with the priorities and guidelines of national and international donors
- Ability to work in the tropics and willingness to travel domestically and abroad
- Experience with and enjoyment of cross-team (agile) work with changing responsibilities and constellations
- Enjoy working in diverse and intercultural teams
