IRC Hellas will implement a new program under the Helios+ initiative, which supports the integration of international and temporary protection beneficiaries into Greece’s social and economic life. It provides services like Greek language learning, housing support, labor market access, and integration monitoring. Helios+ also raises awareness in host communities and among stakeholders to promote social and employment inclusion.
We are looking for a Helios+ Center Manager to oversee daily operations, deliver essential services, and foster stakeholder engagement. Major Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Center Management and Operations:
•Daily Operations: Manage the Helios+ Center’s day-to-day activities, ensuring smooth functioning and adherence to project goals and operational standards.
•Facility Oversight: Ensure the facility meets accessibility and safety standards, coordinate facility maintenance, and manage the technical equipment and furnishings.
•Staff Coordination: Supervise staff, including labor market outreach facilitators, social cohesion facilitators, and interpreters, to deliver high-quality services to beneficiaries.
•Scheduling and Administration: Organize the daily operating schedule, manage visitor flow, and oversee administrative tasks to support efficient operations.
Service Provision and Beneficiary Support:
•Labor Market Inclusion and Social Cohesion activities: Support the business outreach facilitator and the social cohesion facilitator to organize networking activities, job fairs, and employer visits to connect beneficiaries with job opportunities;
Monitoring, Reporting, and Compliance:
•Progress Tracking: Monitor the center’s outputs, including job connections, and participation in social cohesion events, ensuring compliance with project targets and standards.
•Documentation: Maintain detailed records of service provision, participant progress, and stakeholder engagements; prepare regular reports for internal use and donor submissions as required.
•Risk Management: Identify and address potential risks to project activities, including facility challenges or engagement difficulties, implementing mitigation strategies as needed.
•Manage a team in accordance with IRC’s People Manager Standards.
•Other duties as assigned by the Senior Livelihoods Manager to enable and develop IRC programs
REQUIREMENTS:
•MA/S or equivalent in human rights, education, social sciences or other relevant field or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
•At least three years of experience implementing integration/economic empowerment programming. Experience working with refugee youth is a plus.
•Strong training and technical assistance skills and significant experience leading participatory trainings, capacity building and mentoring of professionals or local partners.
•Strong technical capacity in employability and skills development programming for refugees and migrants and understanding of the needs of the target population.
•Good computer skills in programs such as: MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
•Personal qualities: Team player, flexible, diplomatic, network-builder, strong negotiation skills, gender and cultural sensitivity and able to handle pressure well.
•Fluency in Greek and English;
