You

You are interested in working in an international organization and eager to learn. You are enthusiastic, result driven and have great communication skills. As an intern in this role, you support the human resources team with ongoing projects focussing (but not limited to) on: global rewards study, duty of care project and HRIS project. This is a multidimensional project management internship in which you have contact with various departments and stakeholders.

You provide hands on project support the HR team. There is operational work to do, but you will also be involved in more tactical and strategic discussions. Obligations you may have in relation to your study will be discussed with you in order to ensure that the time with War Child will benefit your start in the job market.

Your Responsibilities are (but not limited to):

  • Create / update/maintain project plans
  • Data collection, processing and analysis
  • Project communications
  • Support achieving milestones
  • Create proposals and presentations for stakeholders and decision makers
  • Create training and implementation plans
  • Provide support to further project results

Your Profile

  • Student with a specialization in Human resources, business studies or other relevant studies.
  • You are enrolled in a Dutch higher education institute for the whole duration of the internship
  • Ability to produce quality work outputs within agreed priorities and to deadlines
  • Ability to maintain contacts at different levels
  • Excellent planning & organizational skills
  • Problem solving skills, can-do mentality
  • Pro-active, independent and flexible
  • Interested to work and communicate with people from various backgrounds
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills including presentation preparation and delivery
  • Excellent command of English language, both spoken and written. Other languages such as Spanish, French or Arabic are a bonus
  • Available for 4-5 days a week
  • Available to start September 2024 for a minimum period of 6 months. Preferably 10 months or more.

Please note that War Child interns need to be registered students at a Dutch educational institution. This is a hard requirement. Students must be enrolled for the duration of their internship. Please note that this internship does not suit students who are in their thesis writing semesters.
