Terre des hommes Foundation (Tdh), with headquarters in Lausanne and an office in Zurich, is the leading Swiss organization for child rights. In 2022, we supported 2.6 million children and members of their communities around the world. We trained people who in turn supported a further 4.5 million children and members of their communities.
Contexte:
Under the authority of the Head of Operational Human Resources Sector (based in Switzerland – Lausanne),
The HROP acts as an HR referent for one of the Foundation’s areas of intervention.
A true conductor, he/she is responsible for providing the necessary guidance and support to his/her group of assigned delegations. To this end, he/she creates, develops, supervises and shares the HR strategy and advises and supports the managers of his/her area within the Operations team; in particular its Operations Manager, its Adjoints and Heads of delegation.
Exemplary in his or her behaviour, he/she shares and disseminates good HR practices and solutions that contribute to the achievement of the Foundation’s strategic objectives.
Responsibilities:

- Excellent knowledge of humanitarian and development action and its environment;
- Proven thinking and strategic analysis and synthesis skills;
- Ability to understand and promote an operational and strategic vision related to the activities of the Human Resources Department;
- Ability to operate in complex environments and changing business priorities;
- Ethical and exemplary leadership, managerial excellence;
- Great team spirit, collaboration and strong ability to contribute to cohesion;
- Strong ability to work in a transversal and multidisciplinary manner;
- Ease in evolving in a multicultural context with various interlocutors;

Education:
A solid postgraduate degree in Human Resources and/or equivalent in the disciplines of political science, management and/or international development.
Experience & Competencies:
A proven experience in mastering the various aspects of HR activities of the employee’s cycle : administrative management, recruitment, legal standards, career management and talent management, evaluations, learning & development, end of collaboration, conflict management, etc.
Experience acquired in management or expert positions in a headquarters and/or in the fields of intervention.
Languages:
Excellent writing and representation skills in English and Arabic
IT:
High proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
Conditions:
- Swiss Labour Law contract
- Gross monthly salary between CHF 5’300.- and CHF 5’700.- depending on experience – x 13,36 months
- Insurances: sickness, accident, repatriation
- Annual leaves: 25 days/year
- Flights to duty station and back
- This position involves travel in delegations and in the field, abroad, up to 30% of the working time.
