The completion of the refined version V1.4 of TiSSTAT to be implemented and used during 2024 survey will allow UEMOA member states to compile comparable sufficiently detailed Trade-in-Services statistics to address their policy/negotiation data requirements.

Duties and Responsibilities

Under the supervision of UNCTAD Statistics Chief of methodology unit and the Chief of data dissemination unit the Individual contractor will be responsible for:
1. Develop a tool to generate an official letter to be sent to the companies selected to complete the survey.
2. Maintain corrective software fixing any bugs and/or error which might be reported by UEMOA countries .
3. Improve software with new features or requirements
4. Introduce adaptive software to allow for changing technologies and/or changing policies and rules regarding TiSSTAT.
5. Develop preventive software maintenance to include necessary changes, upgrades, adaptations.
6. Update the TiSSTAT deployment guide and user manual when required. Prepare the installation package for any new version of the TiSSTAT software to be deployed in the UEMOA countries.
7. Improve the ergonomics of the application to enhance the user experience.

Qualifications/special skills

A Bachelor degree in IT software engineering is required
At least 5 years of experience in software development and maintenance, or related area is required.
Experience working in international environment for technical cooperation projects is required.
At least 3 years of experience in MS SQL, SpringBoot and Angular is desirable.
Ability to design computer application systems and complex databases (including the preparation of the corresponding technical specifications) is desirable.

Languages

High level of proficiency in oral and written English is required and good knowledge of French is desirable.
