CRD is a think tank that operates in the support, generation, and dissemination of evidence-based research from combined perspectives of public health and social science in the MENA, Central Asia, and Eastern Europe. CRD was officially established in 2014. In close cooperation with its partners, the goal is to apply scientific innovative know-how and to transform evidence-based data into programmatic actions. International donors, UN agencies, INGOs, universities, local organizations, and government ministries rely thereby on CRD’s expertise and deep understanding of the research environment.
SUMMARY OF KEY TASKS
The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of computer hardware and software, network maintenance, and industry trends. his / her role is to ensure proper computer operation so that end users can accomplish business tasks, Engaging with employees throughout the company.
DUTIES & ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Install, configure, and support workstation software, hardware, printers, and phones.
- Train employees in using software, hardware and provide technical support when needed.
- Analyze staff needs, identify vulnerabilities, and boost efficiency and accuracy.
- Assist with daily operations, from maintenance to installation of computer and communication systems.
- Implement applications and software upgrades and troubleshoot any performance and technical issues.
- Manage and maintain the inventory of IT equipment, ensuring accurate records, optimal
utilization, and timely maintenance or replacement.
- Other relevant tasks as directed by the IT Manager.
COMPETENCIES
- High-level knowledge of commonly used software, hardware, and applications.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Proficient with Windows 10, Windows 11, and Mac OS.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Teams, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Strong understanding of PC hardware setup and configuration.
- Have basic knowledge of hardware and networking.
- Demonstrate intermediate proficiency in Python.
- Have basic knowledge of Fortigate firewalls.
- Have basic knowledge of Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) and Endpoint Detection and Response System (EDRS).
