Job Overview/Summary:

The mission of the Learning and Development Team is to take the IRC’s people to the next level. The team is responsible for improving the productivity of IRC staff by providing tools, processes, and guidance for effective performance management, onboarding and orientation, staff and leadership development, and quality individual and team learning.

The L&D Specialist manages learning and development budget, provides production support to virtual training events, and conducts data analysis and reporting support to the Learning and Development Team. The Specialist is also involved in special projects as needed to provide project management and L&D content support.

Major Responsibilities:

Data Analytics and Reporting

  • Lead the L&D team’s methodology to learning program data and reporting
  • Analyze and synthesize L&D data to identify trends and report gaps
  • Respond to data requests from team members and others across the organization
  • Continuously improve reporting processes, ensuring we have consistency across all offerings
  • Synthesize and use data to create visual reports, dashboards and infographics

Budget Management

  • Serve as the team expert on the Integra system
  • Manage L&D Unit Budget, including annual budget drafting, reforecasting, and budget close activities
  • Maintain the L&D Team budget, including analysis of BvA reports and providing updates to team leadership about the budget, burn rates, etc.
  • Plan and facilitate budget planning and reforecast processes with L&D leadership
  • Identify and implement improvements to budget management processes

Knowledge Management and Communications

  • Facilitate best practices in knowledge management across the team
  • Direct updates to the L&D intranet pages, ensuring accuracy of all information available to the organization
  • Lead the L&D Unit annual report process

Virtual Training Facilitation and Production

  • Plan and facilitate virtual trainings on a variety of L&D topics
  • Support facilitation teams with key aspects of multi-session virtual trainings to create a smooth and interactive learning environment
  • Comfortably handle all aspects of interactive trainings, including screen-sharing (slides and web), pasting instruction into the chat, monitoring participant comments in the chat, setting up breakout rooms, troubleshooting participant issues, etc.
  • Handle multiple tasks, easily switching among activities to support the learner experience
  • Interact with participants and facilitators to create casual and conversational interactivity

Special Projects

  • Provide project management expertise to L&D project as needed, including creating and maintaining project plans, leading or participating in planning meetings, etc
  • Take part in L&D and People and Culture projects and working groups as assigned

Job Requirements:

  • 3-6 years of experience managing multiple projects
  • Excellent command of Microsoft applications
  • A high degree of professionalism and strong work ethic coupled with a sense of responsibility and integrity
  • Demonstrated skills and competencies:
    • Strong communication, project management, and organizational skills
    • Exceptional attention to detail
    • Commitment to customer service and process improvement
    • Able to prioritize multiple tasks and projects
    • Ability to interact within a multi-cultural environment and with all levels of the organization
    • Financial savvy, budget management
  • Experience facilitating or producing online training sessions
  • Deep understanding of online tools for virtual training facilitation
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, dependability and the ability to communicate with all levels in and outside of the organization
  • Knowledge of HTML or making basic web pages a plus
  • French, Spanish and/or Arabic a plus

Compensation:

Posted pay ranges apply to US-based candidates. Ranges are based on various factors including the labor market, job type, internal equity, and budget. Exact offers are calibrated by work location, individual candidate experience and skills relative to the defined job requirements.

We offer a comprehensive and highly competitive set of benefits.
