THIS POSITION IS INTENDED FOR DEPLOYMENT IN ONE OF OUR INTERNATIONAL PROJECTS.

  • Italian residence required
  • English and French proficiency: minimum B2
  • Experience in the non-profit sector

MAIN OBJECTIVE
The Logistics Officer provides technical and organizational support to our medical programs. They are responsible for planning, coordinating, and monitoring all logistics activities within the project, while supporting medical operations according to our protocols and standards to ensure optimal project management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to defining operational orientations and logistics objectives of the project in collaboration with the Project Coordinator and medical team.
  • Participate in the preparation of monthly reports.
  • Manage project infrastructure: minor construction or renovation works, maintenance of offices and accommodation facilities for international staff.
  • Implement minor water, sanitation, and hygiene activities.
  • Recruit and train the logistics team: guards, drivers, hospital logisticians, hygienists, technicians, mechanics, etc.
  • Manage the project’s logistics supply chain: stock management, local or international procurement, reception and storage of materials, transportation of goods and personnel.
  • Manage project logistics equipment: purchase, installation, maintenance of equipment (IT, radio communication, vehicles and engines, generators, etc.).
  • Implement all administrative activities related to logistics (orders, insurance, vehicle contracts).
  • Define and monitor technical aspects of the project’s risk reduction policy and prepare technical components of the project security policy.

Required Qualifications

  • Secondary education with technical diploma.
  • At least 2 years of experience in one of the following logistics areas: mechanics, hydraulics, construction, electrical installations, radio and telecommunications, procurement.
  • English and French proficiency at B2 level.
  • Availability for 9–12 months.
  • Computer literacy (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Solid experience in team management and training.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience working in contexts similar to our field operations.
  • Additional desirable languages: Spanish, Portuguese, Arabic (B2 level).

Minimum deployment period: 9–12 months.
