The Inclusive Refugee Response Programme (IRRP), Kenya
The Danish-led Inclusive Refugee Response Programme (IRRP) aims to alter the existing refugee camps in Kenya into integrated settlements and thereby enhance socio-economic inclusion of both the refugees and host communities, specifically in Turkana. Together with the Government of Kenya (GOK) and the Department of Refugee Services (DRS), the Turkana County Government aims to support the national Refugee Act (2021) and its regulations within the county.
As senior adviser you support Turkana County from your local office in Lodwar, promoting the processes of transition. Simultaneously, you help strengthen synergies between their work and the IRRP actors including the Alliance of Danish foundations (NOVO, LEGO, Grundfos), while working closely with the other Danish funded adviser in DRS.
You have a minimum of 10 years development cooperation experience, focusing on refugee affairs, minorities, and vulnerable populations, preferably from the region of East Africa. Furthermore, you have substantial experience in program planning, implementation, and financial management, preferably within governmental institutions.
