Role & Responsibilities

The Marketing Assistant will help execute strategies and key initiatives to drive Donor Retention & Acquisition effectiveness and success. This role will partner with Mass and Middle relationship advisor to roll out campaigns that nurture or attract (new) donors. The person will be involved in the engagement team and will contribute to achieve overall Engagement objectives of raising funds.

Project Overview

Within our Global Support Office and affiliate offices, the Engagement Department is responsible for connecting people who can give, go, and pray in support of Medair’s programmes. We are responsible for promoting the work of Medair to the world, to raise the funds needed to run our life-saving and sustaining programs, and to help recruitment of international and GSO staff through adequate marketing and communication. The marketing and communications teams design and deliver the messaging that helps communities reach their target audiences. Within the Engagement team the Marketing Assistant will help with execution of marketing plans to proactively support business in Switzerland.

Workplace & Conditions

Global Support Office (GSO) position based in Lausanne, Switzerland. Swiss or eligible EU citizens, or those with a valid work permit for Switzerland, can apply.

Starting Date / Initial Contract Details

As soon as possible. 80-100%, 4 months.

Key Activity Areas

Direct Marketing

  • Coordination of Campaign production
  • Assist for analysis of campaign costs
  • Management of suppliers
  • Using Salesforce to ease reporting to higher management
  • Checking of large Excel segmentation files for campaigns
  • Simple database manual updates · Donors follow-up calls on specific topics

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Emailing and Digital Media or in a related field
  • Relevant working experience in Digital/Emailing or Print Marketing
  • Previous experience in Marketing/Print project management
  • Excellent written and spoken English essential, French and German would be a plus
  • Fluent English (spoken and written), French and/or German would be a plus

Experience / Competencies

  • Advanced skills in MS Office (Word/Excel/Outlook/PowerPoint)
  • Project management using Trello would be a plus
  • Previous experience with emailing tools a plus
  • Google Analytics
  • Excellent communication skills – verbal and written.
  • Detail orientation is necessary for this position
  • Strong project management, organizational, multitasking skills
