OBJECTIVES OF THE PROGRAMME

To ensure that effective WHO country presence is established to implement WHO country cooperation strategies that are aligned with Member State’s health priorities, sustainable development agendas and harmonized with the United Nations country teams and partners to improve health outcomes and progress towards achieving Universal Health Coverage.

ORGANIZATIONAL SETTING

The incumbent works under the direct supervision of the responsible technical officer. She/he is expected to perform his/her duties and responsibilities with the highest degree of efficiency and sound judgment.

The incumbent coordinates activities in the designated areas but does not have direct supervisory or managerial responsibilities.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Function 1 (incl. expected results)

Providing support in developing periodical analysis of data and develop timely analytical reports, to evaluate the impact of actions taken; such as:

·Develop a monitoring plan using an electronic data collection tool.

·Perform preliminary data collection using available monitoring tools to facilitate technical report development on periodic basis, ensuring monitoring of technical activities are in coherent with action plans to inform Programme direction;

·Conduct data analysis on a periodic basis as per the monitoring plan and develop quality and analytical reports/Programme documents, and presentations using statistical, data visualization tools;

·Conduct stakeholder mapping, analysis and interviews, supporting the analysis of stakeholder engagement.

·Coordinate with technical staff for data collection ad-hoc, to generate periodic technical reports, presentations, success stories, and concept papers in line with the emergency programmes.

·Conduct periodic field visits to monitor the implementation of action plans and record the progress using an e-tool generated for the project monitoring.

·Perform Gender Intersectionality analysis using the disaggregated data collected from the field visits.

·Apply value for money and develop a value proposition statement using financial and technical data.

·Produce periodic donor reports in line with the donor requirement.

·Assist in capacity building activities for WCO staff and government focal points, as needed.

·Prepare presentations using analyzed data, for internal and external dissemination meetings.

·Assist in mid-term and end of project evaluations.

WORK RELATIONS AND PARTNERSHIPS

The incumbent will provide full support to the technical team to perform monitoring and reporting of the programme implementation and field operations, and develop timely reports of donor funds especially the emergency projects. The incumbent will support in developing periodical analysis of data and develop timely analytical reports, to evaluate the impact of actions taken

The functions have a direct impact to ensure that WHO functions and strategies are aligned with Member State’s health priorities, sustainable development agendas and harmonized with the United Nations country teams and partners to improve health outcomes and progress towards achieving Universal Health Coverage.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education Qualifications

Essential: Completion of secondary education, supplemented by administrative training and or technical courses in a field related to the work performed.

Desirable: First-level university degree in Information Management/ basic life sciences/Epidemiology/business administration.

Professional Experience and knowledge

Essential:

6 years progressive experience the development of statistics, charts in Excel, and use of any statistical tool (eg. SPSS, SAS, GraphPad, PowerBI)

Desirable:

Experience in monitoring and reporting of emergency projects.

Necessary skills and knowledge include knowledge on administrative guidelines, rules and procedure related to the implementation of programmatic activities.

Ability to adapt deal with people of diverse educational and cultural backgrounds

Good written communication skills in English

Experience in coordination is an asset

Language Skills

Excellent knowledge of English and local language.

Other Skills (e.g. IT)

Proficiency in MS Office.

REMUNERATION

Remuneration comprises an annual base salary (Net of Tax) starting at JOD 20,908
