Connecting Research to Development (CRD) is a think tank that operates in the support, generation, and dissemination of evidence-based research from combined perspectives of public health and social science in the Middle East and North Africa, Central Asia, and Eastern Europe. CRD was officially established in 2014. In close cooperation with its partners, the specific goal is to apply scientific innovative know-how and to transform evidence-based data into programmatic actions. International donors, UN agencies, INGOs, universities, local organizations, and government ministries rely thereby on CRD’s expertise and deep understanding of the research environment.

Tasks and Duties

  • Coordinate programs and services, along with assisting in ongoing program development and measurable evaluations.
  • Ensure ongoing programmatic excellence through active participation in the different components of the project/study process.
  • Contribute to writing educational/promotional literature, proposals, articles, and reports.
  • Participate in the development, translation, and digitalization of qualitative/quantitative tools.
  • Coordinate field operations by monitoring and assisting teams.
  • Participate in the planning process of field activities.
  • Lead and supervise fieldwork operations.
  • Lead in conducting field research
  • Ensure ongoing programmatic excellence through continuous monitoring and management of data from the field.
  • Organize and deliver training sessions for fieldworkers.
  • Perform data entry whenever required.
  • Other tasks as assigned by the CEO.

Desired Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in public health, health management, or similar fields with knowledge in quantitative and qualitative research
  • At least 5 years of working experience in project management and research
  • Demonstrated knowledge of and experience working in Lebanon, Jordan or other Eastern Mediterranean countries is a must
  • Experience in communicating with government ministries, international donor agencies, and INGOs is a must
  • Excellent verbal, written, analytical, and organizational skills;
  • Collaborative and constructive team member;
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines, multitask, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and work in a fast-paced environment;
  • Strong presentation and training skills;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office;
  • Fluency in written and oral English and Arabic. French is a plus
