Hurricane Beryl made landfall in the southern Caribbean as a category 4 hurricane on Monday 1 July severely affecting Barbados, Grenada, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, and Tobago. Beryl continued to make her way up the Caribbean chain and made landfall in Jamaica on 3 July, as a powerful category 4 hurricane and in the Cayman Islands on 4 July as a category 3.
