Overview
TeamUp is a psychosocial support intervention developed by War Child, Save the Children Netherlands and UNICEF the Netherlands to meet the urgent psychosocial needs of children affected by conflict and war. Children are exposed to stress and traumatic experiences during their journeys to safety and often their social and emotional needs are not met – both during their journey and at their (temporary) destination. TeamUp is an inclusive psychosocial support group intervention with structured movement- based group activities based on play, movement, and body awareness for all children aged six to 18 years. TeamUp decreases stress and increases wellbeing.
The TeamUp Global Team developed a scaling strategy with the ambition to reach millions of children by end of 2027. Currently TeamUp is implemented in 25 countries in partnership with various global partners.
The role
We have an exciting opportunity available for a Project Support Officer to join the TeamUp Team. We are looking for a colleague who will be responsible for organisational, operational and administrative support to the important and impactful work of the TeamUp Global Team members and partner organisations.
The Project Support Officer is part of the TeamUp Global team within the Programme Quality, Scaling & Advocacy (PQSA) department and reports to the TeamUp Global Coordinator. This position is based in the Netherlands. The interested and suitable candidate needs to be located in the Netherlands and must have the right to work in the Netherlands.
Your Challenge
- Planning and registering appointments and meetings for team members. Collecting and preparing necessary information for meetings.
- Performing minor financial coordination and administrative tasks.
- Handling internal and external requests for information and refers informants to the relevant team members. Acting as point of contact on specific themes and topics.
- Taking accurate minutes of meetings, making reports, memos or summaries and taking necessary actions to ensure follow-up of decisions and agreements.
- Assisting in the drafting of documents such as memos, reports and discussion papers.
- Supporting preparation and organization of team meeting days (e.g. planning, agenda, taking minutes).
- Supporting in onboarding and mentoring of interns, if applicable.
- Supporting administration and filing for grant management processes.
- Supporting requests for quotations (for travel, translation, design and purchase of TeamUp resources and materials)..
- Supporting partner organizations in acquiring necessary TeamUp resources for training and implementation.
- Supporting facilitation of trainings with partners: e.g. travel arrangements, training venue, materials etc. and liaison with partners.
- Supporting in the development, revision and distribution of program resources and materials.
- Supporting in the development and maintenance of digital data solutions for monitoring and evaluation.
- Supporting in the coordination of design, branding and translation of key resources.
- Supporting with capturing of lessons learned e.g. related to the TeamUp certification system.
- Supporting with the preparation and organization of internal and external meetings and events.
- Supporting TeamUp communication activities (i.e. newsletter, website).
- Representing TeamUp along with other TeamUp colleagues at internal and external events or working groups.
Your Profile
- Bachelor or Master in a relevant field of study such as International Relations, International Development, Development Studies, or any social science (research) course.
- Demonstrable interest and/or knowledge of the development sector through prior work/volunteer/study experience is a plus.
- Experience with the TeamUp programme is an asset.
- Excellent analytical and writing skills.
- Experience with MHPSS, Education, Child Protection programmes is an asset.
- Previous experience in working with multicultural teams is an asset.
- Strong communicative skills.
- Data management skills.
- Accurate & precise with an eye for detail.
- Good sense of planning, able to manage priorities along with effective time management skills.
- Ability to quickly grasp different computer software and filing systems.
- Great team working skills, self-motivated and able to work independently with the ability to follow direction and learn effectively.
- Excellent command of English language, both spoken and written. Good command of other languages (such as French, Arabic) is a plus.
Our Offer
- Salary range from € 2,877 – € 3,577 gross per month, based on 40 hours per week (the exact step determined by the years of relevant working experience).
- An employment contact with War Child Alliance based in Amsterdam for 32 hours per week
- 28 vacation days on full time basis (consisting of 26 vacation days plus 2 additional fixed free days, based on 40 hours work week).
- A pension scheme fully paid by War Child.
- Hybrid working; the team works flexibly part-time from home and part-time at the War Child office in Amsterdam.
- Compensation for travel and work from home costs.
- Laptop to work from any location and monthly mobile phone contribution of € 25.
