Duties and Responsibilities

The Donor Visibility Unit oversees visibility and recognition for all OCHA donors, working within the Donor Relations Section. DVU plays a role at all phases of the institutional relationship with capital donors, from reviewing visibility clauses in the initial agreement, to thanking them for their contributions and partnership, collaborating on joint campaigns, showcasing results, and amplifying donor testimony. Under the overall guidance of the Head of Unit, the intern will be asked to contribute to a range of tasks, for example: Donor visibility support: • Support donor engagement and DVR implementation • Support updating of DVR standards, including archiving and translation • Help monitor and record donor requests for DVR, per OCHA offering • Help monitor and record best practice donor & partner impact content and actions Social media & campaigns: • Support social media campaign planning, development and implementation • Draft content for DVR-related social media engagement • Help organize the clearance, production, and capture of social media material • Research social media presence, analytics, trends, tools & community growth Content support: • Support production of engaging graphics and promotional materials for social media. This could include digital and social media graphics, posters, flyers, and others. • Assist in image selection and archiving for external users; photo & graphic research. • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications/special skills

• Applicants must meet one of the following requirements: (a) be enrolled in, or have completed, a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher); (b) be enrolled in, or have completed, the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum bachelor’s degree or equivalent). • Be computer literate in standard software applications. • Have a demonstrated keen interest in the work of the United Nations and have a personal commitment to the ideals of the Charter; and Applicants to the UN Internship Programme are not required to have professional work. experience. However, a field of study that is closely related to the type of internship that you are applying for is required. Your training, education, advance course work or skills should benefit the United Nations during your internship.

Languages

Fluency in English (both oral and written) is required. Knowledge of any of the official languages of the United Nations is desirable.
