Overview of position
- CTG is looking to contract candidates whose experience match the below TOR.
Role objectives
- Assist in the preparation of sites for the installation of new LTE communication links, ensuring readiness of all required materials and equipment.
- Perform the deployment and installation of LTE panel antennas, including the setup of power lines, fiber cables, GPS, grounding systems, connector terminations, and LTE Radio Units.
- Support Base Band script loading and execute basic commands for system setup and integration.
- Assist in the installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of LTE 4G RAN equipment, including eNode B systems, power converters, and rectifiers to ensure optimal performance.
- Conduct site surveys, participate in Radio Network optimization efforts, and contribute to KPI analysis and ongoing network monitoring.
- Perform technical support activities such as LTE drive testing and diagnostics to resolve service issues effectively.
- Assist with the installation and maintenance of UPS systems, batteries, AC/DC power solutions, and 48VDC systems to ensure uninterrupted power supply for critical equipment.
- Prepare and manage LTE site integration documentation for approval and acceptance processes.
- Participate in regular, routine, and preventative maintenance programs to maintain all unit equipment in optimal condition and minimize service disruptions.
- Carry out other duties as assigned by the supervisor to support mission objectives.
Project reporting
- This role reports to the line manager.
Key competencies
Qualifications:
- A degree or diploma in Telecommunications, Electronics, Information Technology, or a related field.
Experience:
- A minimum of four (4) years of practical experience in the telecommunications field, particularly with 3G/4G technologies.
- Hands-on experience with Microwave RF transmission and 4G LTE Radio Access Networks.
- Strong knowledge of radio and data communications systems and principles.
- Extensive working knowledge of LTE network infrastructure, including RF planning and optimization processes.
Language Requirements:
- Fluency in English (written and oral) is mandatory.
- Proficiency in French is an advantage.
Skills:
- Extensive working knowledge of LTE network infrastructure, including RF planning and optimization processes.
- Strong analytical skills with a deep understanding of LTE network KPIs and data transfer mechanisms.
- Proficiency in configuring and operating various Microwave Minilink equipment.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities, particularly for microwave radio and LTE-related issues.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while adhering to safety protocols and best practices.
- This role demands a combination of technical expertise, adaptability, and commitment to maintaining and optimizing critical LTE communication infrastructure.

- This role has no team management responsibility.
