Strategic Edge International (SEI), a social enterprise from Switzerland, partners with Amalna Foundation, a non-governmental organization based in the United States, to make low-cost training accessible to community organizers and humanitarian actors in crisis countries. Our aim is to build basic skills and enhance existing capacities in an effort towards uplifting the quality of care and delivery of humanitarian services in local communities.

As a course dealing with burnout and building resilience, the wellbeing of community organizers, humanitarians, and psychosocial counsellors is top priority. The nature of service to community, especially to vulnerable populations affected by violence, trauma, and various psychosocial difficulties, challenges one’s resilience and ability to manage stress.

This course contributes to building up the inner resources of humanitarian and NGO personnel, identify imbalance and inner disturbances, and recognize supportive mechanisms. This short course is delivered using presentations, discussions, dilemma exercises, and case studies. Virtual discussions and online support are available with the help of our volunteer instructors. A certificate is generated upon course completion.
