Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children, particularly girls, in humanitarian settings? Plan International is seeking a dynamic and experienced WFP Global Account Management Coordinator to lead our engagement with the World Food Programme (WFP) and other key Rome-based institutions. This role is pivotal in driving our mission to address food security, nutrition, and livelihoods in humanitarian crises, with a focus on protecting children’s rights and promoting gender equality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Partnerships: Establish and maintain high-level relationships with WFP and other institutions, positioning Plan International as the partner of choice for impactful humanitarian work.
- Influence & Representation: Represent Plan International at high-level meetings and networks, advocating for the needs of vulnerable children and girls.
- Business Development: Lead the acquisition of funding opportunities and coordinate the preparation of proposals to scale up Plan International’s food security and nutrition programs.
- Internal Coordination: Drive internal efforts to enhance our global engagement with WFP, coordinating across Plan International’s offices to maximize our impact.

What We’re Looking For:
- Significant experience in donor engagement, external representation, and influencing within the humanitarian sector.
- Proven success in securing funding and leading proposal development, particularly with WFP.
- Deep understanding of humanitarian standards and experience in diverse crisis contexts.
- Significant experience in driving income growth, including leading on funding. acquisition and proposal writing processes.
- Strong communication skills in English; additional UN languages are a plus.
Location & Travel:
This role is ideally based in Rome, with occasional travel (10%) depending on assignments.
