About Us:

ALAMEEN for Humanitarian Support is a non -governmental organization established by a group of volunteers in Syria during the crisis in 2012 and registered in the USA, Sweden, and turkey.

ALAMEEN is implementing projects through regional offices in Syria, Turkey, Lebanon, Yemen, Sudan, Iraq, Palestine, and Somalia.

Our work sectors are Health, Nutrition, Education, Food Security and Livelihoods (FSL), Protection, Shelter &Non-food items, Wash and Sanitation.

ALAMEEN also manages development projects, advocates to empower civil societies and local governance

Document the projects with photos and videos explaining the activity’s progression by applying the photography policies approved by the marketing department, which considers the dignity of beneficiaries. In addition to visual photographing of the project`s need assessment and impact on the community and beneficiaries.

Summary:

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Preparing photographic equipment and photography staff, distributing banners within filming locations, devices that need to be shipped, and checking memory cards and others
  • Developing illustrated human stories in coordination with the programs and facilities within a clear plan agreed upon with the media production Coordinator, taking into account the standards of photography and making human stories.
  • Taking high-resolution photos and videos for projects with special requests according to the agreements signed with donors and planned, including small projects funded by the federation associations, in a way that does not contradict the policy of taking photos approved by the Marketing Department.
  • Conduct video interviews periodically with project managers – beneficiaries – local partners. And the photo and press reports required by the media department, while ensuring the dialogue language that must be in line with the media discourse approved by the Organization.
  • Collecting photographic materials, selecting the best, editing videos within the most appropriate shots, merging and subtracting specific shots from raw materials, and adding the appropriate description of the materials
  • Weekly meeting with the team in order to take guidance, supervision, improvement notes and support necessary for the work
  • Maintaining and arranging the archive of photos and videos

The position reports to: Medial Production Coordinator

Conducts work with the highest level of integrity. Communicates these values to staff and to partners and requires them to adhere to these values.

Actively promote PSEA (Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse) standards within AL- AMEEN for Humanitarian Support

and amongst beneficiaries served by AHS

Qualifications

  • Preferred university graduate, any branch of arts

Experience

  • Work experience in Photography and relevant equipment
  • Experience in preparing clear and concise media raw products
  • Minimum of 3 years of video and photos
  • Experience in media product archiving systems
  • Familiar with online cloud storage systems

Languages:

  • Arabic and English are preferred
