INTERNATIONAL WARS AND DISASTERS VICTIMS’ PROTECTION ASSOCIATION (IRVD) is a non -governmental organization established by a group of volunteers in Syria during the crisis in 2012 and registered in the USA, Sweden, and turkey.

IRVD is implementing projects through regional offices in Syria, Turkey, Lebanon, Yemen, Sudan, Iraq, Palestine, and Somalia.

Our work sectors are Health, Nutrition, Education, Food Security and Livelihoods (FSL), Protection, Shelter & Non-food items, Wash and Sanitation.

IRVD also manages development projects, advocates to empower civil societies and local governance.

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Manager (Prosthetic Expert) to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all technical aspects related to prosthetic limbs, ensuring high-quality design, manufacturing, and fitting procedures. The Technical Manager will lead a team of technicians and collaborate closely with medical professionals to meet the needs of our patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Preparing the technical plan (work plan for the technical departments) under the supervision of the project manager and programs department
  2. Developing and implementing technical strategies and action plans to achieve the project’s objectives.
  3. Managing technical department staff to ensure the effective and timely implementation of the project.
  4. Organizing regular meetings with the technical department staff.
  5. Providing the Programs Department with the required daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
  6. Providing the Programs Department with the training plan specific to the Technical Department.
  7. Building the technical team’s capabilities through daily direct supervision and scheduled training sessions within the training plan.
  8. Conducting periodic evaluations for the technical department staff.
  9. Developing and implementing quality procedures to ensure that the technical work complies with standards and requirements.
  10. Working on enhancing the quality of services provided in the project.
  11. Coordinating with other departments to ensure the progress of activities in the project without interruption.
  12. Evaluating the quality of prosthetic limbs before delivering them to the patient.
  13. Assessing the patient’s needs, analyzing their health status, and identifying functional requirements for designing prosthetic limbs.
  14. Executing modifications and repairs to existing prosthetic limbs to improve their performance.
  15. Providing patients with guidance and technical support regarding the use and maintenance of prosthetic limbs.
  16. Commitment to executing any tasks requested within his field of work.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in prosthetics, or a related field.
  2. Proven experience working as a prosthetist or in a similar technical role within the prosthetics field.
  3. Strong knowledge of prosthetic design principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.
  4. Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire others.
  5. Exceptional problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  6. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  7. Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
  8. Commitment to maintaining high standards of patient care and ethical conduct.
  9. Professional Project Management Certificate (if obtained), showcasing expertise in project management methodologies and practices.
