In order to start a career with the organization, applicants must know what are the existing recruitment initiatives, their eligibility criteria and different stages of the ADB YPP’s selection process, as well as have a broad understanding of the culture and values of this complex international organization.
This book was written and revised by a team of professors, human resources specialists, and intergovernmental organization staff with a great deal of diligence. It is divided into 11 chapters, which have the following aims:
Chapter 01 – Introduction to the Asian Development Bank YPP
Presents the ADB YPP’s characteristics; its minimum application requirements; the different selection process rounds; and, work assignment features, such as salary, benefits, type of appointment and hierarchical level, among others.
Chapter 02 – The Asian Development Bank: Understanding the Organization
Presents the ADB through its administrative organization, its history, its decision-making system and strategic activities. This chapter is essential, since it is very common for candidates to have difficulties with understanding this complex organization during their various selection processes.
