Overview:

The purpose of the Sudan Monitoring Project (SMP) contract is to provide third-party monitoring, evaluation, and special studies services for United States Agency for International Development’s (USAID) Bureau for Humanitarian Assistance (BHA) funded humanitarian program activities in Sudan. These services will continue to prioritize monitoring, verifying, and analyzing trends in programs implemented in Sudan’s South Kordofan and Blue Nile regions (also referred to as the “Two Regions”). USAID/BHA is seeking a Data Report Coordinator to manage data for the project.

This position is open to residents of Nairobi, Kenya.

To support USAID/BHA, IBTCI is requesting for a full-time Data Report Coordinator for an anticipated five-year assignment based in Nairobi, Kenya.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties/Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and populate the dashboard with relevant project data.
  • Ensure that the dashboard accurately reflects project performance indicators and key metrics.
  • Take responsibility for data cleaning procedures to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
  • Implement quality control measures to validate and verify data coming in from field sources.
  • Finalize data sets by consolidating, organizing, and preparing them for analysis and reporting purposes.
  • Generate final packaging and reporting products based on analyzed data and project insights.
  • Prepare reports and presentations that effectively communicate project progress, achievements, and challenges.
  • Collaborate closely with the TPM Coordinator to align reporting activities with project objectives and timelines.
  • Provide regular updates on dashboard status, data quality issues, and reporting progress.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of data cleaning processes, quality control checks, and reporting activities.
  • Ensure that all data-related documentation adheres to project standards and protocols.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • A minimum of three years conducting data cleaning, analysis, and reporting using quantitative and qualitative data, preferably for the purposes of monitoring and evaluation of donor programs is required.
  • Demonstrated ability to organize data effectively and create graphs, charts, tables, and dashboards for data visualization purposes.
  • Proven experience in analyzing both qualitative and quantitative data sets to derive meaningful insights and recommendations.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, for data manipulation, analysis, and presentation purposes;
  • Ability to post reviewed data supporting sheets to the beneficiary survey database as part of the data aggregation process.
  • Oral and written fluency in English and Sudanese Arabic.

Education:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in statistics, international affairs, social science, data science, computer science, or a related field is required. A master’s degree in a related field is preferable.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Context-specific knowledge and experience in Sudan.
  • Familiarity with USAID, BHA, or USG work environments is helpful but not required.

Working Environment: Work is typically performed in an office environment.

Physical Requirements: This is largely a sedentary position that requires the ability to speak, hear, see, and lift small objects up to 20 lbs.

Supervisory Responsibility: This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.

Travel: Travel may be required between Kenya and Sudan.

Work Authorization: Candidate must be authorized to work in Nairobi, Kenya.
