Job Title: Project Accounting and Reporting Manager I

Department/Location: Accounting/Vienna, Virginia

Reports To: Project Accounting and Reporting Manager II

Type: Regular Full-Time

Classification: This is a managerial, exempt-level position that is not eligible for overtime pay.

Overview: IBTCI is currently seeking a Project Accounting and Reporting Manager. The successful candidate will oversee all project accounting and reporting activities and supervise the home office project accounting and reporting staff. Additionally the successful candidate will be expected to lead project set-up, oversite of field office accounting, project budget support and analysis.

This position is based in IBTCI’s home office located in Vienna, VA (currently in Hybrid mode, going to office twice a week).

Responsibilities

Essential Duties/Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee field office accounting processes, procedures and controls.
  • Process invoices through Concur and upload into Deltek software.
  • Review and approve monthly field office financial reports including Deltek uploads.
  • Ensure VAT, payroll and other tax compliance and field office filing requirements.
  • Oversee field audits, track audit findings and follow up actions.
  • Perform monthly bank reconciliations.
  • Perform online banking wire payment entries on weekly basis.
  • Perform monthly reconciliation for IBTCI credit cards payments.
  • Prepare quarterly financial and accrual reports.
  • Provide guidance in support of project budgeting and forecasting.
  • Provide special financial reports and analysis as needed.
  • Manage set-up of employee and vendor workforce and project labor categories.
  • Document and maintain written accounting procedures.
  • Provide training for new staff and new procedures.
  • Participate in billing activities as assigned.
  • Conduct and participate in audits as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Cognos report writer experience.
  • Demonstrated effective communication skills.
  • Proven ability to observe the highest standards of business ethics and comply with all laws, regulations, and contract requirements that are applicable to the Company’s business.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Minimum 4 years of professional work experience in accounting or finance.
  • 2 years Deltek/Costpoint accounting software experience
  • 3 years federal contracting experience.
  • 3 years budgeting and financial reporting.
  • 3 years of experience managing accounting or finance staff.
  • 3 years of experience with USAID contracts.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office products including Excel and Word.
  • Project accounting and set-up experience.
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized
  • Oral and written fluency in English required.

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related business discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, professional training or work experience.

Work Environment: Work is typically performed in an office environment. Currently IBTCI is allowing for hybrid work due in the DMV area. This can be updated by the company.

Physical Requirements: This is largely a sedentary position that requires the ability to speak, hear, see, and lift small objects up to 20 lbs.

Supervisory Responsibility: This position has supervisory responsibilities.

Travel: International travel may be required and may include travel to fragile and/or conflict-prone zones.

Work Authorization: Candidate must be authorized to work in the USA.
