Mission and objectives

Al Mezan’s mission is to promote the respect and protection of human rights, particularly economic, social and cultural rights, in the Gaza Strip as part of the occupied Palestinian territory, through research, legal intervention, advocacy and awareness-raising. We carry out our work with a sound combination of professionalism and community participation. Our guiding principles include equal human worth and equal respect of all human rights, individual and collective, for all people as enshrined in international law and jurisprudence.

Context

Al Mezan Center for Human Rights is Palestinian NGO based in Gaza, Palestine. Our work is a reflection of what is going on the ground. Our pubblications voice concerns about Israel’s constant violations of Palestinian human rights and international law in Gaza particularly, and the occupied Palestinian territory in general. We demand an end to these violations, accountability for their perpetrators, and call for guarantees for ensuring the respect of Palestinians’ human rights.

Task description

Under the supervisor of Al Mezan advocacy team, we are seeking two of online volunteers to support us with:
– Create engaging, original, and high-quality content for social media posts, including text, images, videos, and infographics.
– Stay informed about changes in social media algorithms, policies, and best practices.
Final delivery:
• Create and design number of visuals for digital collateral (social media platforms)
• Ensure the deliverables are completed with high quality and on schedule
The volunteer should follow Al Mezan’s brand guidelines in all posts.
