In this 1-hour course, you will learn about industry best practices in medical product donations including pharmaceuticals, medical devices, medical equipment, consumables, and consumer products. The course provides practical advice to help inform and guide you through the management of a successful donation program and to assist with ensuring your ability to work with all stakeholders to achieve the highest quality product donation activities.

Objectives:

  • Describe the process for managing medical donations that is consistent with the World Health Organization’s (WHO) Guidelines on Drug Donations and the PQMD Guidelines on Quality Medical Program Donations.
  • Explore best practices to obtain, transport, store, and use donations.
  • Determine how to evaluate your own program to ensure that you are following all of the prevailing industry and regulatory requirements.
