Supervisor:
The incumbent of this post reports, as applicable, to the Deputy, HFPLO in West Bank.

Responsibilities

The incumbent:
1. Manages and coordinates warehousing and distribution activities to enhance efficient control and management of goods procured for the Field Office Operations; as applicable, oversees preparation and verifies the section operational budget, quarterly budget revisions; verifies expenditures and provides supervisory management of all functional areas within the section; identifies the requirements in the relevant supply chain and resolves any problems related to supply control, stock management and warehousing;
2. Utilizes the ERP system in order to plan and monitor delivery schedules by advising the Senior Logistics Officer, Deputy/Head, Field Procurement and Logistics Office (H/DFPLO), Central Support Services Division (CSSD)-HQA/ and Transport Agents; follows up the
inbound/outbound movement of supplies, ensures coordinated offloading and oversees quality control standards fulfillment for warehousing the received goods; coordinates with Field Programs, Procurement staff and Materials Inspectors to ensure goods received are in accordance with specifications and that ERP documentation is promptly and accurately handled in accordance with the relevant UNRWA policies;
3. Ensures and oversees receipt, storing and distribution through warehousing of all goods and basic commodities received in accordance with the agency policies concerning security, hygiene and safety, including but not limited to general stores, basic commodities, transit and fuel point; oversees space allocation planning and monitors procedures for stock turn around to ensure no redundancy of stocks; leads quarterly and Ad hoc physical stock counts and verification;
4. Oversees and monitors through the ERP system the status of all stocks, replenishment action, contract obligations, overdue and damaged goods or incorrect goods specifications received; directs and monitors the corrective action required;
5. Projects and coordinates the strategic and day-to-day work development, management and administration functions of the section and provides substantive inputs to the Field Logistics Officer Management; compiles and certifies reports submitted by both Warehousing and Distribution Officers;
6. Provides guidance, expert advice, consultation, and support in all supply control and warehouse management matters to all levels of the Field Office Operations and its customers;
7. Performs other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.

Education

A university degree from an accredited educational institution in supply chain management, business administration, public administration, commerce or related field.

Work Experience

At least five years of progressively responsible relevant experience in logistics related function,
out of which at least two years should be in a supervisory position is required.

Conditions of service
-Contract Type: Fixed Term Appointment for 3 years; including 1 year probation period, with the possibility of further extension, subject to the availability of funds, satisfactory performance, and continuing need
Grade and Salary: Grade 15 Monthly basic salary USD1,592.60, payable in JD at UN monthly exchange rate, plus a Jerusalem allowance payable in JD at UNRWA rate:
a. The amount of this Allowance shall be NIS 2000 per month for each eligible Area staff holding Jerusalem ID and working in any of UNRWA installations in West Bank Field; or
b. NIS 1000 per month for each eligible Area staff working in any of UNRWA installations in East Jerusalem and not holding Jerusalem ID.
++ Due to exceptional measures, currently contracted daily paid employees are considered internal candidates and therefore, can apply for any given job opening if qualified.
Other benefits include:
•Provident Fund contribution (15.2% of basic salary paid by the Agency).
